National Speakers ("we", "us", "our") operates the website nationalspeakers.la. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. 2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. Name, organization, email address, telephone number, event details, budget information and anything else you include in an enquiry form, email or telephone call.
- Contractual information. Billing contacts, purchase order references and tax documentation where we are engaged to provide services.
- Technical information. IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, and the pages you view on our site.
- Cookie information. See our Cookie Policy for the categories of cookies used and how to control them.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information, and we do not collect information from children under 13.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and prepare speaker shortlists and quotations.
- To negotiate, enter into and perform contracts for speaker engagements.
- To issue invoices, process payments and maintain financial records.
- To operate, secure and improve our website.
- To send occasional service updates or, where you have opted in, event-planning insights. Every marketing message contains an unsubscribe link.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Where required by law, our legal bases for processing are the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and marketing our business, your consent (for optional cookies and marketing email), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Sharing your information
We share personal information only as follows: with a speaker or facilitator you are considering or have booked, to the extent necessary to arrange the engagement; with service providers acting on our behalf such as our website host, email provider, payment processor and accountant; with professional advisers; and where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.
5. Analytics and advertising
Subject to your cookie choices, we may use analytics services to understand aggregate website usage, and advertising platforms such as Microsoft Advertising and search engines to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These services may set cookies or similar identifiers. Where you decline optional cookies through our banner, these tags are not loaded.
6. Data retention
Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months from the last contact unless a contract results. Contract, invoice and tax records are retained for seven years as required by US accounting and tax rules. Website analytics data is retained in aggregate form for up to 26 months.
7. Your rights and choices
You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, to delete information we no longer need to keep, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to provide a copy of information you supplied to us. The website is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and contract records is limited to personnel who need it, protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International visitors
Our services are directed to organizations in the United States and our systems are hosted in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites, including map providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on our home page for 30 days.
