National Speakers is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or captioning.

1. Standard we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are not aware of material failures at the time of writing, and we re-test after every significant change to the site.

2. Measures taken

• Semantic HTML with correct heading order and landmark regions on every page.
• A visible "skip to content" link as the first focusable element.
• Keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements, including the navigation menu and cookie banner.
• Text and background colour combinations tested for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for body text.
• Descriptive alternative text on informative images and empty alt attributes on decorative ones.
• Form fields with associated labels and error messages announced to assistive technology.
• Animation limited in extent and disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.

3. Accessibility at events we manage

For engagements we manage, we can arrange live captioning, ASL interpretation, materials supplied in advance in accessible formats, and reserved seating with clear sightlines. Tell us your requirements at the briefing stage so they can be budgeted and confirmed with the venue.

4. Feedback

5. Third-party content

Some embedded content, such as map frames, is provided by third parties and is not fully within our control. We provide the same information in plain text alongside any such embed.
